    Ada beberapa jenis bahan perangkai yang umum digunakan. Yang paling sering dipakai adalah:
    tali nylon,

    kawat baja lapis nylon,

    Merupakan lapisan2 halus kawat baja, mulai dari 7 benang hingga 49 benang baja yang dilapisi nylon. Semakin banyak kawat bajanya semakin lentur dan tidak mudah patah talinya, dan semakin mahal harganya.
